Perhaps, like me, you find the oeuvre of British writer-director Richard Curtis a bit -- how shall I put it -- twee?. With more attention to detail, this could have worked, but the time travel aspects are so badly executed that the movie as a whole falters and eventually rips apart at the seams.. The script is so willy-nilly about the complexities of the issues it introduces that it winds up collapsing.. By the time you get home from the multiplex, it will be as if the whole thing never happened...
